<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing packed rice gruel ensuring commercial sterility security and product compactification to be attained while favorably maintaining the taste of boiled rice grains. <P>SOLUTION: The method for producing packed rice gruel comprises the successive steps of packing a food container with hydro-extracted soaked rice 2, adding water 5 to the resultant rice 3, boiling the resultant water-added rice 6, adding sterile hot water 8 to the boiled rice 7, sealing the opening of the resultant container, and leaving the resultant packed boiled rice gruel to stand at normal temperatures. Thus, the packed rice gruel is favorable in the taste of the boiled rice grains and can be shipped in a commercially acceptable period. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
