METHOD FOR SCREENING JUVENILE HORMONE-RELATED COMPOUND

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simple method for screening for developing juvenile hormone-related compounds with JH signaling system as target.

SOLUTION: A reporter gene can be transcribed by transitorily transferring drosophilia's cultured cells( S2 cell line ) with (1) an expression vector of aryl hydrocarbon receptor(AsAhR) cloned from anopheles mosquito, (2) a reporter vector obtained by inserting a thymidine kinase promoter(P-tk) of herpes simplex virus upstream of a firefly ruciferase gene followed by inserting a dioxin response element(DRE or xenobiotic response element(XRE)) upstream thereof and (3) a coreporter plasmid obtained by inserting P-tk upstream of a Renilla reniforms ruciferase gene and by using JHIII or a JH analog( agonist ) added to a culture fluid.
