摘要 Mechanisms, in a natural language processing (NLP) system comprising a processor and a memory, are provided. The NLP system receives information for identifying a plurality of audience members of an audience for an upcoming performance and retrieves personality trait information for the plurality of audience members from one or more personality trait information sources. The NLP system generates an aggregate audience model based on the personality trait information for the plurality of audience members. The aggregate audience model specifies an aggregate personality trait of the audience. The NLP system modifies a portion of the performance to tailor the performance to the aggregate personality trait of the audience as specified in the aggregate audience model.

A method, in a data processing system comprising a processor and a memory, wherein the memory comprises instructions executed by the processor that cause the processor to be specifically configured to implement a performance customization engine that operates to perform the method, wherein the method comprises: receiving, by the performance customization engine of the data processing system, information for identifying a plurality of audience members of an audience for an upcoming performance; retrieving, by the performance customization engine, personality trait information for the plurality of audience members from one or more personality trait information sources, wherein the one or more personality trait information sources comprise at least one other data processing system that is a source of at least a portion of the personality trait information; generating, by the performance customization engine, an aggregate audience model based on the personality trait information for the plurality of audience members, wherein the aggregate audience model specifies an aggregate personality trait of the audience; and modifying, by the performance customization engine, a portion of the performance to tailor the performance to the aggregate personality trait of the audience as specified in the aggregate audience model, wherein retrieving personality trait information for the plurality of audience members from the one or more personality trait information sources further comprises, for a personality information source in the one or more personality information sources, and for each audience member: identifying textual messages authored by the audience member that have been submitted to the personality trait information source for exchange with other users of that personality trait information source; performing natural language processing of the identified textual message to identify indicators of characteristics of the audience member; matching the identified indicators of characteristics of the audience member to characteristics associated with one or more pre-defined personality traits; and selecting personality traits, from the one or more pre-defined personality traits based on results of the matching, to be associated with the audience member.
