PURPOSE: A taxi call service system using a global positioning system(GPS) is provided to effectively manage the taxi call service by reducing the data process load between the GPS terminal of the taxi call service vehicle and the taxi call service device. CONSTITUTION: A taxi call service system using a global positioning system is characterized in that the GPS terminal(105) for use in the vehicle transmits the current position information and the identification(ID) of the vehicle to the taxi call service apparatus(125) based on the practical driving distance of the vehicle. The taxi call service system is provided with a plurality of GPS terminals(105) for use in the vehicles and a taxi call service apparatus(125) to supply the taxi call service to the client based on the position information of the vehicle transmitted from each of the vehicle terminals.
