<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To mount a large-sized air bag which covers a cowl at the front section of a vehicle, a windshield and a front pillar, and at the same time, to surely soften the impact when an obstacle collides with the cowl or the front pillar. <P>SOLUTION: In a cowl section 9 at the front section 2 of the vehicle 1, two inflators 10a and 10b are housed, and the inflators 10a and 10b being folded are respectively attached to a first air bag 141 and a second air bag 142. When it is judged that a possibility for the collision of an obstacle with the vehicle 1 is high, the inflators 10a and 10b work, and a gas is fed to the first air bag 141 and the second air bag 142, and an air bag 14 is instantly developed.
