<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medical imaging system and a method of managing imaging order information which accomplishes the efficient and accurate imaging at the visiting destinations with a simple system configuration. <P>SOLUTION: In the medical imaging system 100 which is provided with a plurality of portable terminals 60 for displaying the imaging order information, out of the imaging order information acquired by a controller 40 from an information managing unit 30, one for the portable imaging is extracted to be transmitted to the portable terminals 60 and displayed at the portable terminals 60. The imaging order information is matched with the cassette IDs at the portable terminals 60 and the medical images read from a reader 20 is matched with the imaging order information at the controller 40.
