<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a check plan preparing device capable of preparing a check plan which minimizes the total cost considering the check cost of an object to be checked and also the cost of damage or repair when any failure is caused in the object. <P>SOLUTION: Based on the amount of damage and the costs of repair and status transition probability between the normal status and defective status of an object to be checked and between defective statuses decided according to a plurality of defective conditions stored in a defective data storing part 10, an optimal check cycle calculating part 22 calculates the expected amount of damage and the expected costs of repair based on the amount of damage and the costs of repair decided according to the defective conditions and a status transition model defined by status change and status transition probability, and calculates an optimal check cycle so that total costs including the expected amount of damage and the expected costs of repair and the check costs can be minimized. A check plan deciding part 23 calculates a check cycle by rounding off the optimal check cycle calculated by the optimal cycle calculating part 22 to decide a check plan. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
