A cooling device comprises a conductive shell for receiving goods to be cooled, an outer shell encasing the conductive shell and providing access to the goods received therein, the outer shell and the inner shell defining between them an air circuit including passage over the goods, a Peltier device with a hot and cold side, an insulating layer separating the conductive shell from the hot side, a thermal bridge connecting the conductor shell to the cold side through the insulating layer and a fan for driving air around the circuit.
