<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus and an image forming method capable of surely preventing a blade from getting turned up even in the case of using a new image carrier. <P>SOLUTION: When it is detected by a sensor for detecting whether a photoreceptor is new or old that the photoreceptor loaded to the apparatus body is a new one, prior to an image density control operation (step S4) and an actual printing operation, an initialization operation (step S3) is performed and toner is deposited in a deposition cavity. That is, a deposition toner image is formed on the photoreceptor by controlling an electrification bias (toner deposition electrification potential) and a developing bias (toner deposition developing potential). And, the deposition toner image formed in the aforesaid manner is moved to a cleaning part as it is, then, the toner constituting the deposition toner image is scraped by the blade and deposited in the deposition cavity. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
