<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for folding an air bag for rear collision capable of enhancing a storing property against a vehicle and stability of deployment behavior and to provide an air bag device for rear collision capable of enhancing a protection performance against an occupant of the vehicle. <P>SOLUTION: Both ends 13e of a crossing direction (direction of an arrow B in Fig. (a)) to a development direction (direction of an arrow A in Fig. (a)) of the air bag 13 itself are firstly folded to a central side of the cross section (first folding, Fig (a)). Then, the air bag 13 is folded such that an upper side part 13a and a lower side part 13b approach to each other (second folding, Fig. (b)). Subsequently, the air bag 13 is folded to a bellows shape between a connection part 41 and a swirl part 13f to form a bellows folding part 13g (Fig. (c)). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
