<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To offer a current suppressor which does not use a contactor equipped with a mechanical contact at all and has an essential current suppressing function by used parts and its constitution and is excellent in durability and can guarantee secure action in any case. <P>SOLUTION: In a rectifier where one end on DC output side of a rectifying means 1 for converting AC into DC charges a smoothing capacitor 5 via a reactor 12, a magnetic resistance element 16 is arranged in the cavity of the reactor so that the magnetic flux of the reactor 12 may pass through the magnetic resistance element 16, and the magnetic resistance element 16 is connected in series to the coil of the reactor 12. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
