<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mask to prevent an inhalation of dust, pollens, toxic substances or the like in the air into the trachea. <P>SOLUTION: A mask 10 and 10' has a mask body 100, a tightening cord 20 arranged on both sides of the mask body 100, and a clasp 30 engaging with the free end of the tightening cord 20. The clasp 30 is made of a plastic plate and has U-shaped grooves 32 formed on both ends of the plate. An elastic plate 31 is provided in the grooves 32.
