The more rigid outer frame (2), comprising openings (20, 21) for the lenses (5), a bridge in the center (24) and insertion areas for an elastic band (25) located laterally, is molded in a first step. In a second step the outer layer (2) is accommodated in the mold for the soft inner layer (3) creating a unit with the soft edges of the inner layer partly enveloping the edges of the outer layer in order to create a comfortable but effective frame.
