PURPOSE: A chip LED(light emitting diode) is provided to improve performance and reliability by irradiating entirely uniform white light without shading an irradiated light emitting surface, and to reduce fabricating cost by improving brightness without making a phosphor mixed with molded epoxy. CONSTITUTION: A plurality of chips from which visible rays are emitted are mounted on a metal pad connected to an outer power supply. A plurality of lead plates are connected to the chip mounted on the metal pad by a wire, connected to an outer power supply. The metal pad and the lead plates are received in a main body(10) made of a synthetic resin material. Solid mold epoxy(20) is molded to a light emitting part in which a tilted surface(21) of a predetermined height is formed in the upper surface of the chip received in the main body to have a more enlarged inner diameter as it goes upward, so that white light is emitted by a chip LED. The tilted surface of the light emitting part is plated with a reflector. The solid mold epoxy is molded to be downward concaved with respect to the upper surface of the main body. |
