APPARATUS AND A METHOD FOR REQUESTING UPLINK SCHEDULING IN A MOBILE COMMUNICATION SYSTEM, PARTICULARLY FOR REDUCING INTERFERENCE CAUSED BY AN UPLINK SCHEDULING REQUEST MESSAGE AND AN UPLINK INTERFERENCE

PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for requesting uplink scheduling in a mobile communication system are provided to enhance efficiency of uplink transmission and reception efficiency of uplink data. CONSTITUTION: When MSs(Mobile Stations) simultaneously transmit scheduling request messages(401,411) to a base station during a period starting from the same point T0 to a point T1, each timer thereof is set to have the same value. Accordingly, each timer of the MSs is terminated at the same point T2. Then, each controller of the MSs controls a random number generator to generate a random number, and a transmission time point of a scheduling request message is determined according to the generated random number. If a random number generated from the MS is 1, the MS transmits a scheduling request update message(403) immediately when the timer is terminated. If a random number generated by controlling the random number generator by the controller of the MS(B) is 3, the MS waits for double the time required for transmission of a scheduling request update message, and then, generates and transmits the scheduling request update message at a point(T4). By transmitting the scheduling request update message, the timers of the two MSs are terminated at a different point, so uplink interference can be reduced.
