APPARATUS FOR INPUTTING ZINC INGOT INTO PLATING POT AFTER AUTOMATICALLY REMOVING FOREIGN MATERIALS ADHERED TO SURFACE OF ZINC INGOT AND HEATING ZINC INGOT TO CERTAIN TEMPERATURE

PURPOSE: To provide an apparatus for reducing formation of dross during melting of zinc ingot and manufacturing high quality galvanized cold rolled strip by automatically eliminating impurities such as foreign materials and labels adhered to the surface of the zinc ingot before throwing a solid zinc ingot into a plating pot. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus(1) for removing foreign materials from surface of zinc ingot comprises a main body part comprising a lifting-and-lowering part comprising lifting-and-lowering cylinders installed in a middle portion of a zinc ingot transfer conveyor(220) to lift and lower a solid zinc ingot(210) moved along the transfer conveyor; a body part comprising transfer cylinders(38) for moving a plural box type containers(32a,32b) on rails(32) in a direction perpendicular to a length direction of the zinc ingot transfer conveyor in an upper part of roller supports; a heating part(40) comprising a plurality of gas burners(42) mounted on the containers of the body part to heat the solid zinc ingot inside the containers; a high pressure ejection part(60) comprising air nozzles installed on the upper surface of the containers of the body part to remove the foreign materials by ejecting high pressure air onto foreign materials adhered to the outer surface of each zinc ingot; and a suction part(70) comprising a suction pipe installed at one side of the containers and connected to a vacuum pump(78) to discharge the foreign materials to the outside by sucking foreign materials inside the respective containers.
