PURPOSE: A snow chain is provided to closely contact around a wheel through a split portion and to prevent traveling noise or breakdown of the chain by restricting the snow chain from partially coming off a tire. CONSTITUTION: A snow chain comprises at least two side members(11,12) formed like a chain or a wire, installed along inner and outer peripheries of a wheel, and arranged in parallel at both sides; plural middle chains(20) connected between the side members at predetermined intervals; a tension extension unit(13) prolonged at one end of the side member positioned outside the wheel and composed of a hook(16) installed in the end and an elastic tension wire(15) disposed in the middle; and an anti-reverse clip(18) formed like a channel, connected and installed to the other end of the side member positioned outside the wheel, and composed of side walls, a bottom side, and a slot opened to the side on the bottom side. The tension extension unit passes through the anti-reverse clip. When the tension extension unit is pulled and connected to the side member by using the hook, a chain(14) of the tension extension unit is inserted into the slot of the anti-reverse clip in a thickness direction and the next chain, which is arranged in a width direction, is hung in the slot to prevent the tension extension unit from loosening.
