PURPOSE: A rotation detection apparatus and a vehicle having the same are provided to realize the rotation detection apparatus having the small size by using a rotation angle detecting part. CONSTITUTION: A rotation detecting apparatus includes a non-rotating internal gear(2b), a planetary gear(4), a rotation delivering part(6), an output medium part, and a rotation angle detecting part(11). The non-rotating internal gear(2b) is concentrically arranged with a rotation center of a rotary body. The planetary gear(4) meshes with the internal gear. The planetary gear(4) rotates and revolves on an inner circumference of the internal gear(2b) as the rotary body. The rotation delivering part(6) is concentrically arranged with the rotation center of the rotary body. The rotation delivering part(6) rotates on a shaft of the rotation delivering part according to the rotation of the planetary gear(4). The output medium part is installed on the rotation delivering part.
