<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink set for inkjet recording improving the saturation of an image formed from pigment ink for inkjets, especially preventing the pigment particle diameter from increasing and minimizing the rise of ink viscosity and thereby improving preservation stability of the ink and to provide a method for inkjet color recording. <P>SOLUTION: The ink set for inkjet recording is composed of yellow ink, magenta ink and cyan ink. In the ink set for inkjet recording, each ink contains at least a pigment, a dispersing agent and an aqueous medium. The yellow ink contains C.I. Pigment Yellow 74 and the magenta ink contains C.I.
