<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steel belt preventing a stretch in the rotating direction of a belt to lengthen its service life and having a welded portion of the belt not coming into contact with a wafer at a time. <P>SOLUTION: A belt 2 is constituted by cutting a steel plate S cut in a state that the rolling direction P is inclined with respect to the longitudinal direction in a state of inclination with respect to the longitudinal direction to form a cylinder with both longitudinal ends butted. Thus the belt 2 in the steel belt 1 can suppress the stretch in the longitudinal direction, that is the rotating direction T, and the welded portion 2a can gradually come into contact with the wafer when in use while moving in the lateral direction of the belt 2. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
