PURPOSE: An air bag system monitoring method and a recording medium readable through computer are provided to exactly estimate the quality of the air bag system by performing self diagnosis. CONSTITUTION: As ignition switch is turned on, an air bag electronic control unit initializes an air bag system(S10). The air bag electronic control unit performs self diagnosis based on each input/output data in real time(S11). The air bag electronic control unit stores DTC and the input/output data in a predetermined area of a memory(S12). The DTC is generated according to a comparison result with respect to predetermined input/output data. The predetermined input/output data corresponds to a voltage supplied to a resistance and the air bag electronic control unit. The air bag electronic control unit outputs the DTC and the input/output data at the same time according to an external request.
