<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fitting structure for a cap and clip of a writing utensil which does not impair an appearance while preventing the cap from coming off the clip. <P>SOLUTION: In this fitting structure for the cap 10 and the clip 40 of a writing utensil, a clip fitting part 13 is installed on the cap 10 and formed of a base part 15 and a projecting part 16, on both sides of which a jaw part 17 is formed. In addition, an engagement unit where an insertion groove 18 for a bent part 41 of the clip 40 to be inserted into, is formed and the engagement part of the clip 40 is secured at the bottom of the groove 18, is formed between the base part 15 and the jaw part 17. The clip 40 comprises an inwardly bent part 41, an accommodating part for accommodating the jaw part 17, an opening part 44 formed at least at one end of the accommodating part and the engagement unit, to be secured to the engagement unit, which is formed at the clip fitting part 13.
