Provided is an environmental-friendly material for a container, which shows high biodegradation rate while being decomposed with ease when embedded in the underground after use of a container, and has improved impact resistance sufficient to maintain the original shape of a container. The environmental-friendly material essentially comprises 5-65 wt% of starch powder and 25-30 wt% of polypropylene, and further comprises additives including 1.0-2.5 wt% of sorbitol as adhesive, 3.5-4.0 wt% of talc powder, 4.5-6.0 wt% of EVA and 1.0-2.5 wt% of a degradation accelerator, based on the total weight of the material. The environmental-friendly material has a water content of 3.0 or less, as a whole. Particularly, the starch powder is corn powder and the degradation accelerator is based on TiO2 or SiO2.
