A VECTOR MODIFICATION FOR VERSATILE USE OF EXPRESSED PRODUCTS

The present invention relates to a modified expression cassette in which an odd number of cysteine codon or codons have been introduced adjacent to a cloning site. Such an expression cassette allows the systematic introduction of an odd number of cysteine residue or residues at one terminus of any recombinant protein produced from this expression cassette. A method for producing a recombinant protein from this expression cassette is also disclosed.
