A method is disclosed for enhancing a Message Broker operating in a data processing system with a parser for an e-mail like type of messages. The method comprises an initial step of generating, with a context free programming language generator, the source code of a compiler by providing to said generator the rules of a LL(k) grammar corresponding to the syntax of said e-mail like type messages; then, creating an executable code with said compiler source code and, installing and generating in the Message Broker the executable code as a new parser for said e-mail like type of messages; when a message is received and identified by the Message Broker as being of said e-mail like type, parsing said message as a context free programming language with the executable code; usually the logical representation of the message built in memory by the compiler is used by the translator and link-editor to create an executable code from the message. In the case of the present invention, the logical representation of the message which is the output of the preceding step execution is used by the following processing step of the Message Broker. |
