<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flame-retardant resin composition which does not limit a processing temperature, when produced, can be produced at a low cost, and has high flame retardancy. <P>SOLUTION: This flame-retardant resin composition is characterized by compounding a base resin with calcium carbonate whose surface is treated with a halogen-containing compound. The above-mentioned halogen-containing compound is uniformly dispersed on the surfaces of the particles of the above-mentioned calcium carbonate. The calcium carbonate whose surface is treated with the halogen-containing compound is dispersed in the resin composition to give the flame-retardant resin composition having high flame retardancy. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
