VEHICLE-MOUNTED POWER CONVERTER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle-mounted power converter suitable for reducing the size.

SOLUTION: A first converting circuit 1 generating an AC current for driving a three-phase motor M is provided with three system switching circuits 12a-12c for distributing power. The switching circuits 12a-12c of each system are used commonly for generating a current assisting the current being fed to the motor M from an inverter section 11 and for controlling current supply to a second converting circuit 2. A current supply passage from the first converting circuit 1 to the motor M can be distributed to a passage through the inverter section 11 and a passage through the switching circuits 12a-12c of each system.
