<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus in which image noise is prevented by recovery from the creep deformation of a flexible movable member. <P>SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus 10 that forms images onto recording media 10 includes: a flexible movable member 12 which operates when images are formed, and stops the operation by bending when image formation does not take place; a detecting part 62 which directly detects the temperature of the movable member 12; a storage part 65 which stores the detection temperature obtained by the detecting part 62 when the power supply of the apparatus is turned off; and a control part 60 which, according to the detection temperature read from the storage part 65 when the power supply of the apparatus is turned on, alters the length of time for which the movable member 12 is preliminarily operated. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
