<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To decrease time and effort required for growing bean sprouts, by simplifying a structure of a cultivation apparatus capable of harvesting the bean sprouts evenly cut to have uniform length without being damaged in shape. <P>SOLUTION: The cultivation apparatus is composed of two kinds of elements simply structured and comprising cultivation floor bodies 10 and a cultivation box 20, wherein holes or meshes through which roots of beans pass are applied to the whole surface of each of the cultivation floor bodies, the beans are laid on the floor bodies, the floor bodies are received in a cultivation chamber 22 in a state of being stacked, and the cultivation chamber is kept in a state of being hermetically sealed, so that the beans are sprouted and grown into the bean sprouts. While the bean sprouts are growing, operations other than water supply treatment for keeping temperature and humidity at an optimum condition are not applied to the sprouts from the outside. Then, the bean sprouts push up the cultivation floor body positioned just above them, by generating force according to growth of the sprouts themselves in a state of being received and kept as they are. Thus, the bean sprouts of which the length is kept uniform and the thicknesses is large are obtained by the above treatment. When the growth is finished, a blade is inserted into a space just above the surface of the floor body from an opening positioned on the cultivation floor body 10 and used for cutting the roots, so that the bean sprouts which are evenly cut to have the uniform length are harvested without being damaged in the shape. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
