<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a capping method and a capping device capable of sufficiently ensuring sealability by a liner irrespective of the shape of a container mouth part by deforming a corner part of a cap inwardly in a predetermined shape without requiring any high capping pressure in the capping of a metal cap having the resin-made liner to deform the corner part of the cap inwardly when fitting the cap to the container mouth part by the roll-on forming. <P>SOLUTION: For the inward deformation of a corner part 12 of a cap 1 to seal a container mouth part 3 by a liner 2 of the cap 1 by deforming the corner part 12 of the cap 1 inwardly and pressing the liner 2 against the container mouth part 3 (a curled part 31), a part in a vicinity of an upper portion and a part in a vicinity of a lower portion of the corner part 12 are separately deformed inwardly by separate molding parts (a pressure block 53 and a slide block 54). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
