<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate peroral insertion of a flexible shaft of an automatic anastomotic device. <P>SOLUTION: The stretcher aid 1 comprises a cylindrical body 2. One end of the cylindrical body 2, where the surface of a shoulder part is smoothly continued, is tapered, and a connection member 3 projecting outward is mounted at the tip. The other end of the cylindrical body is open, and the distal end of the flexible shaft 5 of the automatic anastomotic device is inserted into the cylindrical body 2 from the opening at the other end. The opening end of the stretcher aid 1 and the shaft 5 are fastened with a sterilization tape with the distal end of the shaft 5 covered with the stretcher aid 1.
