<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a treating instrument retainer and a hanger support for mounting the retainer, which allows cleaning and disinfecting of the treating instrument retainer by enabling the attachment/detachment of the whole body of the treating instrument retainer. <P>SOLUTION: This treating instrument retaining section 60 has a recessed shape to be fitted with the treating instrument hanger support 59 having a cylindrical cross section, and has a plurality of hook portions 60a each having a hook shape for hanging an operating section of an endoscope treating part thereon. The respective hook portions 60a are pieces each having J-shape cross section. A material of the treating instrument retaining part 60 may be not only stainless steel but any material having heat resistance and chemical resistance.
