<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the capacity of a ROM by reducing the number of connection terminals between an internal information reading circuit and a microcontroller and controlling the exchange of data without depending on a program, concerning a microcomputer internal information reading apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: The microcontroller 101 is connected to the internal information reading circuit 109 via an IIC bus 111, so as to control the microcontroller from an outer part by allowing the internal information reading circuit to be the master of the IIC bath. Data of a designation address on the ROM 103, a RAM 104, or a built-in register 105 can be read with a little amount of wiring and without depending on the program by providing an IIC bath control circuit 110, an internal bath arbitration circuit 119, and an address designating circuit 121.
