<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cleaning apparatus which can quickly clean off a large amount of toner on a photoreceptor on recovering after abnormal halt such as paper jamming even when a polymerization toner is used and which can maintain high cleaning property for a long time, and to provide a process cartridge and an image forming apparatus each equipped with the cleaning apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: The cleaning apparatus is equipped with, as a toner removing means, a conductive elastic roller having a hard blade to scrape off the toner depositing on the surface, wherein a bias is applied on the elastic toner, with the polarities switched in accordance with the polarity of the toner. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
