The antenna has two plane surfaces (61, 62) extending parallelly to a partial ground reference zone (60). A switching unit (63) electrically connects the zone to one of the plane surfaces (61, 62) alternatively to define switching between two configurations. The surface (62) constitutes a radiation surface (2) and is electrically connected to the zone to form the entire ground plane (1), in respective configurations. An independent claim is also included for a telephone comprising an antenna.
