<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a casting refractory having an excellent flow property at the time of construction and having an excellent corrosion resistance and spalling resistance appropriate as the refractory of the main trough of a blast furnace. <P>SOLUTION: The casting refractory of the main trough for the blast furnace is prepared by adding 40 to 100 parts by mass spinel coarse particles of a grain size 5 to 45 mm to 100 parts by mass refractory of a grain size ≤5 mm containing 60 to 85 mass% alumina, 3 to 20 mass% magnesia, 5 to 25 mass% silicon carbide, and 1 to 5 mass% carbon. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
