<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a writing instrument having a clip which is easy to grip a comparatively thick article to be pinched by a simple operation. <P>SOLUTION: This writing instrument has the clip so arranged as to be tilted in a see-saw state to a barrel cylinder or a cap on a joint between the clip and the barrel cylinder or the cap. On the bottom wall surface of the clip, a protrusion extending to the barrel cylinder or the cap side is formed, and a protuberance facing the protrusion is formed on the barrel cylinder or the cap. Then, a spring member is arranged between the protrusion and the protuberance in such a manner that the spring member may tilt while interlocking with the tilting of the clip, and may tilt in the opposite direction from the tilt of the clip. Thus, a state of keeping the tilt for which the rear end of the clip is more separated from the barrel cylinder or the cap compared with the distal end and a state of keeping the tilt for which the distal end section of the clip is more separated from the barrel cylinder or the cap compared with the rear end section can be switched. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
