<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cage for a ball bearing of long service life capable of reducing the abrasion of a ball and a cage itself, and keeping superior lubrication even under high-speed rotation. <P>SOLUTION: In this drilled cage 1, a circular body (ring) 10 having an oil groove 10 on its outer peripheral face 10b, is fitted inside of a pocket 1b, the oil groove 10c defines a space in the bearing radial direction with an inner peripheral face 1c of the pocket 1b when being fitted in the pocket 1b, and a lubricant is held in the space, so that the lubricant held in the oil groove 10c is sent out to the inside of the bearing in the lack of the lubrication of the bearing under high-speed rotation and high load. Whereby the generation of specific abrasion on an inner peripheral face 10a of the ring 10 and a surface of the held ball 2 can be prevented, and the superior lubrication can be kept for a long period. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
