<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a packaging method and a package which can prevent a winding slip of a record-like wound tape (tape wound around a core having a length approximately equal to the width of the tape with the width side ends aligned) from occurring regardless of the size of the record-like wound tape. <P>SOLUTION: By this packaging method, the record-like wound tape is placed in a bag, and the inside of the bag is evacuated and sealed. When required, the bag is formed of a heat-shrinkable film, and shrink-packaging is performed after the evacuation and the sealing, and thus, the fixation of the record-like wound tape is strengthened. In addition, the bag is formed of a thermoplastic resin having gas barrier property, and at least one of a deoxidizer, a humidity adjusting agent and a desiccant is contained in the bag, and the evacuation and the sealing are performed.
