<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus which uses two kinds of deep-color toner and light-color toner having the same hue, the image forming apparatus being characterized in that proper image control can be performed by increasing the capability of detecting the density of a toner image. <P>SOLUTION: A plurality of developing means 4 includes developing means 4c and 4m containing toner having the same hue and different density from toner stored in one developing means 4C or 4M, and a density detecting means 13 is equipped with a normally reflected light detecting means 13b of detecting the quantity of normally reflected light of irradiation light to the toner image and a diffused and reflected light detecting means 13a of detecting the quantity of diffused and reflected light. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
