<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To promote distribution of images wherein persons are the objects, and to properly protect such images. <P>SOLUTION: An image protection processing section 14 extracts a face area F from an original image and generates a processing image that is processed so that areas F', other than the extracted face area F are almost unclear. The objects in the areas F' are faintly confirmable but are unclear to the degree of not being suitable for appreciation. That is, the user can confirm who is on the original image, while referencing the face areas of the processed image that are received and can further recognize that the objects in areas other than the face area can be almost confirmable, but the processed image as a whole is not suitable for appreciation. Thus, the user is motivated to acquire the original image, and also it is expected that the user acquires the original image. Moreover, since the sample images are processed not suitable for appreciation, the sample image is suppressed from being illegally copied/secondarily utilized/distributed or the like. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
