<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a construction technology of an air bag apparatus contributing to complete protection of an occupant in a vehicle accident. <P>SOLUTION: In the air bag apparatus 100 mounted on the upper part of a side wall section of a vehicle, a tension rope 126 penetrating a first air bag 121 and a second air bag 122 is fixed (locked) by a fixing device 127.
