<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an airbag device capable of reducing assembling man-hours and cost into a case of a retainer for attaching an airbag or an inflator. <P>SOLUTION: The airbag device comprises the folded airbag 47 and the case 11 for storing the airbag 47. The rim of a gas flow inlet 47a of the airbag 47 is attached to the case 11 using the retainer 19. A substantially cylindrical inflator 30 is disposed outside the case 11. The retainer 19 comprises a flat plane section 20 capable of holding the rim of the gas flow inlet 47a, a cover section 23 that projects from the flat plane section 20 to the inflator 30 side to guide gas for expansion delivered from a gas delivering outlet 32a of the inflator 30 into the airbag 47, and a holding section 27 that is disposed projectedly from the flat plane section 20 to the inflator 30 side and attaches the retainer 19 to the case 11 using the inflator 30 as a bolt. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
