<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a refrigerator capable of operating a DC brushless motor even in a region of bad voltage circumstance in a 200 V area of commercial power source voltage, and operating the DC brushless motor by the common circuit in 100 V area and 200 V area. <P>SOLUTION: This refrigerator comprises an inverter for controlling the rotation of the DC brushless motor 32 loaded on a refrigerator compressor, a converter for supplying DC voltage to an input stage of the invertor, and a voltage detecting means for detecting a DC output voltage value of the convertor. The convertor has a bidirectional switch 27 for switching voltage doubler rectification and full-wave rectification, as a variable means of DC voltage to be output to the inverter, and two kinds of DC voltages can be supplied to an inverter circuit 30 by turning the bidirectional switch 27 on in a case when the voltage value detected from the voltage detecting means is lower than a predetermined voltage value, and a range of operation voltage of the DC brushless motor 32 can be widened. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
