<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication terminal capable of transmitting and receiving MIDI messages, etc., via the Internet efficiently without being packaged with rich protocols. <P>SOLUTION: The communication terminal uses the TCP and the UDP which are widely utilized as transmission protocols of the Internet as protocols for transmitting MIDI messages. A player terminal 200 of a transmitting side classifies MIDI messages into system exclusive messages which must not be omitted absolutely and other MIDI messages which are not so. Then, the terminal 200 transmits the system exclusive messages using the TCP having high reliability and on the other hand, it transmits the other messages using the UDP having low reliability. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
