<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maintain a high response to an instruction of display of a next image or the like by displaying image data of a resolution dependent upon an image display area of a display means on an initial stage when displaying a captured image and furthermore, to respond to a user request of magnified display or the like by producing a display image based on image data of a high resolution if there is an instruction exceeding a magnification ratio on the initial stage. <P>SOLUTION: When displaying an image (JPEG file) stored on a recording medium, two pieces of image data are produced, the data being low-resolution image data in a pixel size of 640×480 equal with a resolution of a display section, and original high-resolution image data indicated by said image file. On the initial stage, the low-resolution image data are then displayed and when magnification is instructed, partial image data segmented from the high-resolution image data are resized and displayed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
