<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for producing rice balls with which a great number of rice balls can be produced without causing any loss of the softness and palatability of the rice ball itself. <P>SOLUTION: The apparatus for producing rice balls is provided with a hollow container having a first molding part and a second molding part each bendable and molding the face side of a rice ball, and a molding means for molding cooked rice charged in the hollow container. The molding means comprises the following: an oscillating body having a plurality of undulation parts continuously arranged in prescribed intervals at a transferring side transferring the hollow container, and reciprocating along a longitudinal direction; a transferring means rolling the hollow container to carry it along the oscillating body; and a clamping means having a pair of clamping parts arranged in parallel to the oscillating body to clamp the hollow container. The transferring means comprises an endless-state rotating body rotating along the oscillating body, and a transferring body pushing the hollow container connectedly set on the endless-state rotating body at prescribed intervals. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
