<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new fixing apparatus capable of shortening warm-up time by preventing a rise rate of the surface temperature of a fixing roller from dulling which may be generated in warming up. <P>SOLUTION: The fixing apparatus is provided with: a fixing roller 2; a pressure roller 4; belt supporting rollers 6, 8; an endless belt 10 trained about around the belt supporting rollers 6, 8 and applied so that a partial area on its circumferential surface is pressed in contact with a partial area on the circumferential surface of the fixing roller 2; a main heating means 60H for heating the belt supporting roller 6; an auxiliary heating means 62H for heating the surface of the endless belt 10; thermistors S1, S2; and a controller 30. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
