<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus constituted so that an operator can always safely perform operation in the case of performing maintenance care of an image fixing part. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus is equipped with an image forming part for forming an image on a sheet to be recorded and the image fixing part for fixing the image formed by the image forming part by giving heat and pressure to the sheet to be recorded, and equipped with an image fixing part takeout control part constituted so that the image fixing part can be taken out from the image forming apparatus. The apparatus is equipped with at least one temperature detection means for detecting the temperature of a previously decided part in the image fixing part and an image fixing part holding means capable of preventing the image fixing part from being taken out from the apparatus, and is constituted so that the image fixing part can be taken out from the apparatus when the temperature at one spot or a plurality of spots of the image fixing part is equal to or under the predetermined temperature. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
