<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the directional stability of a ball, to increase a carry and to stabilize the same by making the height of a sweat spot relatively lower than the prior art and making a centroid angle relatively larger than the prior art. SOLUTION: The height H2 of the sweat spot P1 is set at >=10 mm and <=23 mm and the centroid angleθis set at >=20 deg. and <=35 deg.. A relationship capable of making up each other's drawbacks exists between the technique of making the height H1 of the sweat spot P1 relatively lower than the prior art and the technique of making the centroid angleθrelatively larger than the prior art. If, thereupon, an iron head 15 is formed by extracting only the advantages of both techniques, a golfer is able to easily hit the ball 35 and, additionally, the increasing of the directional stability of the ball 35 and the increasing of the carry of the ball 35 and the stabilization thereof are made possible.</p> |
